The Chic & The Lowdown With Jenny, whose phone number is not 867-5309
Jenny shows the vending machine who is boss with her new legwarmers. Hi-ya!

This Week's Links

Unfortunately, this is not
scratch-and-sniff.

"Can you make this, uh, funny?" This is a phrase I hear just about every day in my little cube o' love. Yes, there is a future in sarcasm—I've found it at JANE. So whenever there's a mailer, a caption or the occasional prank, I'm always ready to be ridiculous. I'm a team player like that.

While cruising the web for copywriting inspiration (read: slacking), I've discovered many sites dedicated to funny ladies. My current favorite is www.jennifers1000.com. Originally inspired by the comedy show "Night of a Thousand Jennifers," this site features women with the combination of a sense of humor and the most common baby name between the years 1970 and 1984. Technically, I'm a "Jenny," not a "Jennifer," but I'm campaigning for honorary membership anyway. Another great site that's both feminist and funny (how'd that happen?) is www.girlcomic.net, featuring a fair amount of "Jens," bless 'em.

The Marc Jacobs Perfume Travel Collection. No sharing.

As you've probably already figured out, we at JANE promo spend a little too much time together. So while I thought I was the first kid on the cubicle block to waltz in with the Marc Jacobs gardenia-inspired fragrance Marc, I soon realized that both Alicia and Kristin were weeks ahead of me (damn them!) But let's just see if they have the Marc Jacobs Perfume Travel Collection, huh? I'll be the sweetest thing in coach with this set that includes travel sizes of body lotion, shower gel, perfume, and eau de parfum spray, all in a groovy white travel case (Marc just knows, doesn't he?). A steal (and a guaranteed upgrade for first class, with extra peanuts) for $90 at Bloomingdale's starting the month of February.

Yes, I love the '80s. Especially my legwarmers, purchased at www.nedandshell.com—an amazing fashion site featuring hip, women-only stylemakers. So, I'm setting my VCR tonight for That '80s Show. While The Facts of Life Reunion was a frightening letdown (oh, Natalie), I have hopes for this show from the decade of hair gel and friendship pins. Although I personally wish they'd push the That '70s Show cast into the future. I'd like to see cute Topher Grace make like Simon LeBon. They can do all their fashion research at www.inthe80s.com/clothes. Damn, the Web has everything. Better get back to work.
